Sorb in the Phillipines

A dive buddy and I are planning on doing some rebreather diving at Malapascua Island. However they charge an arm and leg for sorb. What options are available to purchase a 20 kg keg of Sofnolime 797 Grade CO2 Absorbent or equivalent in the Phillipines and send then it to Malapascua Island?

Welcome to the world of diving a rebreather overseas. In many places it works out much cheaper if you ship the sorb you'll need to the dive centre you'll be using yourself.

Which shipping companies do you use?

Wrong question. Which shipping companies deliver well to the dive centre? They should know.

Ok. Back to the net for me to search for companies that actually deliver to the dive centre. Any suggestions would appreciated. I suspect it will be expensive given the nature of material to be transported.

I think you missed the point of my last post. The dive centre will know which shipping company is good at delivering to their location from overseas. So ask them who you should use.

Sometimes it's a very local thing. People will recommend the likes of DHL and say they're great. But my experience is that DHL stuff too many incoming deliveries from overseas to us. So I'd never recommend someone ship stuff to us using DHL.
