Location: Collendina/Ocean Grove
Diver Qualification: Open Water
Average Depth: 6mtrs
Max Depth: 10mtrs
Directions: Many of the bommies off Collendina beach (between Ocean Grove and Pt Lonsdale). Boat access is easiest, just look for where the waves are breaking offshore. Sometimes known as "breakers reefs" by dive charters.
Description: Because they're in the surf, these bommies are usually not divable, but on a bit northerly or a flat day, they become options. Because they're rarely dived, there's lots of big crayfish there. There's another reason for the abundance of crays, the ledges they live in are long and narrow, and they're pretty hard to catch!
Lots of port jackson sharks and other fish life on these bommies too, so when the conditions are right, it's an excellent dive.
Access Type: BOAT/SHORE
