Location: Second Valley
Diver Qualification: Open Water
Average Depth: 6mtrs
Max Depth: 8mtrs
Directions: About 300 metres from the start of the jetty, a fair swim unless you have a small boat. Line up the Telephone pole, with the LH corner of the toilet block, and head out. You will see the reef come up to less than 2 metres deep.
Description: The Western wall of the reef is a 3 meter vertical wall, with a lot of cracks in it, which are full of life. Schools of whiting, tommies etc. are common, as well as Drummer, Blue Devils, crayfish, abalone, and the occasional eel.
From the Western wall, the top of the reef gradually goes up to within 2 metres of the surface, then gradually slopes down to the sand again.
Well worth a dive, and with the jetty and caves being the other way, they make a great double dive.
Access Type: BOAT/SHORE
