Description: !! Clovelly Pool is closed to dives during daylight hours from the start of October to the end March. Check the signage carefully!!
This is a great site for a night dive, especially if you wish to gain experience or to concentrate on photography. There is a myriad of rocks, nooks and crannies to explore. Along the entrance to the pool there are quite a few small openings that harbour critters as well. Careful examination of the sandy bottom will reveal tiny sole and flathead, octopus gardens, and maybe the unexpected! The last surprise here was a good wobbegong.
As it is an enclosed area, you can't really get lost, but take care if you swim out of the pool, into the open ocean, it can get shallow at low tide and with a swell running it's easy to get pounded on the rocks coming in or out.
